Universal Joint - Asheville

It was 2 days in town. Did not know that many restaurants around 9 are closed. Googled places to eat that were open and ended the selection / search universal joint. I ordered a Swiss mushroom burger and it was really good and tasteful. The frits were perfectly crispy and hot. I have a side of cheese curds and the bread was tasteful with a little kick. Portions were large. Relaxing atmosphere outdoors. Waitress attentive and friendly. Definitely will come back when I'm back in the area.

My boyfriend and I had a great experience!! We ordered the nachos as an appetizer, a chicken sandwich, and a burger! EVERYTHING was fantastic from the food to the service. If you?re in the area, definitely give this place a go.

Loved our lunch experience! Fast food. Ordered the black shrimps and fish tacos with a side salad with soy ginger dressing. Delicious! Spread a lime mojito to embellish it. Come back!

We thought UJ was a late dinner. We just went up and grabbed an outside table. Service was very friendly and helpful. The biggest problem I had was the choice from the big menu. The avocado tacos were great and I was surprised that I also liked the impossibility of Burger. I usually find the meat substitute too rich and overwhelming, but all fresh vegetables and added Cheddar made it just perfect. Tater dead with some BBQ really rounded off the meals. Others in our group were really happy with the fish reuben and the Büffelburger. I definitely want the tofu tacos and some of the beer or cedar on tap. Universal Joint is a great, casual place to meet with friends or even have a family meal.

First time I 've actually eaten here and will be back, absolutely have to come back; they have a burger called, The Steinbeck ! Are you kidding? Pimento Cheese, pickled jalapenos and topped with the candy of meat, Peppered Bacon! Excellent Burger! Add a side of fries a pint of Highland IPA, and a pint Boojum Brown! Excellent Lunch!
