The Chop Shop Butchery - Asheville

Called earlier looking for an epic Viking steak for my best dog buddy for his rainbow travel voyage. Ben was a great very nice and understanding. We went with the biggest ribeye and they were kind enough to remove the bone for my 16 yr old dog. We also pork skins as well it helped distract him and his younger sister from trying to get the steak while we prepare it. He ate half of it and we are going give him the rest of it tomorrow. Oh his sister was mad watching him eat it.

This place is amazing! We come from out of town every couple of months. They always remember us, treat is like we are relatives that just haven?t seen each other in a while. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. As a stand alone butchery they are very reasonable. And, if you play your cards right they always love to hand out samples of the charcuterie they are working on and serving.

My wife and I are huge steak people. We grill a ton at home and love to hit up steak houses when traveling. While visiting Asheville we found the chop shop. Their steaks are absolutely amazing. The quality will blow most steak houses out of the water. Their people know their meats, love what they do, and really take the time to make sure their customers are getting the best quality cuts. I wish we had a shop like this back home and we will be back next time we?re in Western NC!

The Chop Shop has everything you are looking for! They had so much to look at from the local items, to all the various meats and seafood, and not to mention everything you need for a perfect cheeseboard! They are absolute BABES too! Not sure if I can say that in a google review, but not only that they were super kind and friendly. I probably went on one of their busiest days and it did not even take long at all! But even if you have to wait the staff are super helpful and friendly! I had such an excellent experience! 10/10 would marry them. 10/10 would visit again.

Delicious steak the dry aged porterhouse I picked up last week was probably the best steak I?ve ever had. The bone in rib eye was absolutely mouthwatering too. Friendly staff, beautiful store, great selection.
