Frazier's Tavern - Asheville

5 stars to this place for being the ONLY place we could find open the Sunday afternoon we were in town when a snowstorm shut down the whole city. Being from the Midwest, I was sure someone would open their business to make some money off all the people going stir crazy and wanting a drink. After calling every bar and restaurant in a 5 mile radius, I was thrilled to find that Frazier's was open. We bundled up and trekked the 2 miles from our hotel. The bar is teeny tiny (most of the space is for pool tables) but we were lucky enough to snag 2 seats. It is your typical dive bar--beer and a shot sort of place with chips and nuts for snacks, but hit the spot that day. The bartender was also super friendly making suggestions of places she thought might be open that day and trying to help us make the most of our snow day.

Cool place, barkeep was a good guy and knowledgeable on his drinks. Will make good recommendations and let you try beers out before you buy

Loved this bar but the mask mandate is too much. They were chill at one point but not worth the visit now

Frazier 's has become a second home to me in the few months I 've been in Asheville. The vibe here varies drastically from night to night depending on what 's going on in town and the overall season but if you want a chill place to hang out in a quiet but sociable group, this is your spot. It 's carpeted and that, alone, says a lot. Amy, Jackie, Jess and Kevin will take care of you for all the drinks you would care to consume. There 's little more than packaged crisps on the menu but you 're free to order in from any of the AMAZING restaurants in the area and eat at one of the tables inside, or on the back patio/smoking area. Free pool four nights a week, $1 per game the remaining nights. By the inane laws of NC this is a private club but like all bars here, membership is trivial and inexpensive. It 's a hole-in-the-wall place, but these are always the best places I 've found. If you have the chance, visit. Just eat first, or plan to later. Play pool, ping-pong or just shoot the breeze with your friends or the regulars, there is no wrong way to be here!

All men here except the bartender mostly old men but there are a few younger dudes who are CREEPY i've been several times and although the drinks are cheap location is convenient it's not worth it weird vibes- not a fan
