Botanas Beer - Asheville

One, I think it 's confusing and wrong of them to use the ...and Beer, title when there are Papas and Beer restaurants that are really good. This makes it confusing. They were, mamas and beer, then changed to 'botanas. Were they threatened with legal action, are they related to Papas? Who is Mama/Botana and Beer?With that said, who cares if the food and service are great. They weren 't. The only thing palatable was the refried beans, and they were mixed with so much fat and water, they were somewhat runny. The stuffed peppers were hilarious. Mine was big, my son 's was the size of a roma tomato. Both tasted nasty, rushed, made without care or skill. For instance, the clear skin was left on the pepper. It wasn 't prepped at all! Overall, I 'll never go there or order take from them. They came across like cooking food was a chore.

Enjoyed the Tacos here..very nicely grilled steak pork and chicken. Quick service. Full Mexican menu. Family atmosphere.

Super great place for a relaxed meal. They have a huge menu with many delicious options and are always willing to make any adjustments you ask for. My sister always gets chicken nachos, which are not on the menu, but they will make for her! Really laid back and family owned, with some outdoor seating that is nice in warmer weather. I always get their fajita taco salad bowl and it's amazing! The fried ice cream is made with neopolitan ice cream, which is a pleasant change as most restaurants have only vanilla.I always recommend this place and supremely enjoy visiting!

It’s unacceptable to wait 10 minutes+ without someone doing so much as taking your drink order after you’ve been seated, especially when it’s not busy and you’ve been looked at several times by employees. Save your time and money, the food quality is nothing to rave about either considering the one time I did actually get served.

The worst Mexican dining experience I’ve ever had. First off, stale chips! Then we got served a watered down bean dip, legit it was like brown water. Onto to the main course the fajitas, these were the most bland fajitas I’ve ever tasted. Service was okay but the staff all seemed angry to be there. Then I got diarrhea the morning after eating here. We will never return to this place. Anyone who voted this restaurant 4 stars is comparing it to Taco Bell or something, this place will be out of business in 6 months or less with food and service this lousy
