Asheville Yacht Club

I have a love to dive and enjoy finding one where I visit. asheville yacht club fits the bill! asheville is known for its plentiful brewery options and there is no lack of amazing beer that I like, but sometimes I am in the mood for mixed drinks or cocktails. we saw that this place had a full bar and decided to dive. the personal was friendly, the parasols were casual and cool, drinks were well made, and it was a great place to enjoy some drinks and easy to relax. there was a good mix of rock music playing throughout the night as well as that was right up my gasse! if she is a switch from the brewery scene (which is also great), then this place is perfect to mix it!

Would not call it a Tiki bar that is described better than divisible. a bit grungly. tables and bar all sticky. was not busy when we left. a mai tai ordered, it was okay. a kerl stands in the civic ascent that tries to get ppl through the door. the door was open and the cigarette smoke poured inside. not for us. a drink and we went on.

GRUNGY TIKI VIBES!The aesthetic here is so interesting! I've never seen anything like it. You have to pay $1 for a lifetime membership before you enter, and supposedly this is common? Although this is the first time I've encounter this since I moved to Asheville. Cocktails are cheap! Most are around $9. There was some confusion with peoples tabs and ordering. The server told us to only order from him, but then a few of us had wrong items on our bills. I think this may be due to us having a large group with separate tabs? Either way, I'd return for a cheap drink in downtown Asheville! Especially since I love tropical drinks.

Definitely not my cup of tea as it was super loud and the drink we got (Miami mule) was not good or even drinkable. It was like a gross ginger shot. But 2 stars bc I can see why people would enjoy the spicy concoction and the bouncer was very kind.

I absolutely Loved this place. Best bar on the strip. I don't even drink vodka and the Miami mule was amazing. They made me a drink that was better than a Pina colada and it was on fire. It was an amazing time. Perfect music and perfect vibe. It's worth the 1$ cover charge.
