Baker's Crust Artisan Kitchen - Ashburn

We decided to visit this breakfast spot on a whim for a nice, relaxing meal on a Saturday, only to realize we probably should have made a reservation. For us, sitting at the bar to dine isn't an issue, but keep in mind that many patrons prefer bar seating for a quick pop-in visit. Outside, the atmosphere was pleasant. I ordered the standard American breakfast and thought it hit the mark perfectly. My partner got the chicken and waffles, as well as the eggs Benedict. He enjoyed the chicken and found the waffles to be extremely buttery and delicious, but he felt the eggs Benedict fell short of expectations. I had a drink called Abi and had no complaints, but my partner ordered an Arnold Palmer and was surprised by its lack of flavor. It was quite bland, which was unexpected, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for the usual sweet and tangy taste associated with that drink.

This is our second visit to this restaurant, and unfortunately, both times have been quite disappointing. The restaurant itself has a great modern design, but the food has been below average. I ordered the avocado toast for $10, but the bread wasn't toasted, the avocado spread lacked flavor, and the greens tasted old. The French toast was decent, but the eggs, bacon, and house fries were served cold. We also had to wait a long time before our food arrived. While we were waiting, the meals that were served to the table next to us looked amazing, but overall, our experience here was not good.

Depending on what they order, it can be a hit or miss. my favorite article, which I always have here, are the hash-browns that are more like bite-size. they are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and seasoned very well to get this orange color. it is in the usually quite packed here around the midday time at the weekend, so I recommend a reservation. I usually have to wait about half an hour to get a table if I don't. I've got the boom and wagging today, which was pretty average. the chicken tsarties were very spiced, and the only thing that saves it was the honey savory I asked. the waffel is only her ordinary, soft waffel with something syrup that she pours over. the service is also quite slow, but I guess they are underoccupied as there are so many customers. the server is always very friendly.

We visited on a weekend for a late breakfast. Great food and great service from our waitress (wish I could remember her name! . Delicious coffee, and the lemon curd blueberry pancakes were excellent.
