The Bridge - Ashbourne

This restaurant is a great place for lunch. They have good music and delicious food. The view out the window is breathtaking. The wait staff was excellent and the atmosphere was very comfortable, just watch your head. Prices range from £10-20 per person. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere all deserve a 5-star rating.

We made a reservation with our two greyhounds for dinner and were informed that there would be no issues as the restaurant is dog-friendly. We were offered a choice of dining areas where our dogs would be comfortable. The food was plentiful and served hot, which I appreciate. I enjoyed the lasagne and my companion had the ham with chips, both of which were tasty. There were a few local youngsters whose language may have been a bit challenging for the staff, but I suppose that's to be expected nowadays. Overall, it was a great location with good food.

While strolling through Ashbourne, we stumbled upon The Bridge, which is a part of the Marstons company. We decided to have dinner there and were impressed by the excellent service. The tables were clean and since it was a Monday, the restaurant was not very crowded. We ordered two burgers with cheese and bacon for our mains, which arrived quickly and were delicious. The portions were generous and we struggled to finish everything, including the homemade coleslaw, onion rings, and chips. Overall, the meal was fantastic and I would highly recommend it if you have a big appetite. We also tried the mince and onion pie, which was served on a bed of mashed potatoes with a side of green peas and a gravy boat. The pastry was flaky and flavorful, unlike some other places where it can be dry. Once again, the portion size was more than enough. We wanted to order dessert, but we were too full from our mains to indulge. Perhaps we will have to save room for it next time.
