However, my recent experience was a clearer contrast, and a little embarrassing as I was accompanied by this opportunity. from my Japanese friend who visited brisbane. I ordered a glass of will,” which lasted 15 minutes to arrive. the waitress finally came to take our food orders, but we had not given any food cards yet. one of the menus was worked out as the lunchtime version with different trips on it. we ordered edamame, gealterashi tofu and grilled auberginen, expecting that the edamame quickly arrive as an appetizer. the tofu arrived first. after a long wait came the edamom and the aubergins finally arrived. the edamame pods did not seem fresh. the aubergine was boiled over and exaggerated by the accompanying nebulous paste. when we originally sat down for our food, there was another diner next to us who left shortly after eating. during the hour in which we sat and waited to eat the other diner used to eat was not collected by the waiter. the whole restaurant operation had a feeling of mild chaos. the only saving gnade was that after my complaint to the owner he refunded our bill in full scope. the experience was unforgettable for all wrong reasons.
This restaurant was for my wife, which I was closest to original Japanese restaurants, we haven't been here for a few years and when we were very dissapointed for our high-time anniversary. there is no more atmosphere, the Japanese short curtain...was away the pictures were obviously the Japanese diners who were visited here also disappeared. mr. hosokawa san wasn't at his sushi station and we only discovered a Japanese server. the menu has decreased in the choice the prices have risen with the type as the dinge are a natural thing. we have enjoyed all-ways the sashimi platter the art, as it appeared on the art and wise that it seemed to melt in their mouth, well, that is the way we remembered that the portions were less still thick, but incorrectly cut to a point, it was hard chew. that was the first dish, but the dinge only slightly improved the goya (pork) were ok, if not smaller than usual, the otopus ball had some taste, but also lacked. there was no presentation to each of the dishes when our main course came out, which was King-Fish sat on the plate with only one red sauce that had no taste and no wow feature again. we have family in japan, we would normally have made photos to show our meal, but it was simply not worth it. the ambientepersonal has all changed, not the better, as we are really pleased to eat here, but will not come back soon and we will advise our families of this change. a highlight is the ice shop next door
We sat and ordered drinks first. most people got their drinks except one person who had to ask several people where their drink was before they finally got it. a waiter spilts bier over one of our party and a little baby. the waiter. was seen how he laughed about the waiter to the others. we started eating. it was too expensive. once again they forgot the food of a child who was extremely troubled to watch all the others eat and finish their meal when he was super hungry. they had to be asked several times before it was brought out for him. it was 45 minutes since our order. all the others have eaten. there was another plate that arrived at the table, they did not mention until all others eat that special meal had expired and that we had to order something else. we were angry. the personal had no idea what happened. eating was actually quite cumbersome and it was super expensive. would not recommend at all!
We followed Hosokawa San around the Brisbane restaurants he worked at since he was at Oshin 25 years ago. Delighted when he got his own restaurant. Live in the bush now so only get there a couple of times a year. Tried the new managment's...efforts twice now. No nigiri sushi (I kid you not) ,skimpy serves of sashimi and a reduced menu. Give it a miss.
Great casual restaurant. Good service. Fresh food. Casual outdoor dining. Comfortable indoor eating. This is the restaurant fo choice for a good, simple casual lunch or dinner. Food is authentic. Highly recommended!
