Piccolo San Valentino - ASCIANO

I was twice at this restaurant, first i ordered antipasto misto and ravioli with nuts. For desert chocolate cake. Second time tortoloni with fresh basil (by fresh i mean the chef went to the garden and pick it) and mixed grill meat. All food was delicious. Highly recommend.

Actually, for us, it wasn't a long drive. We were staying a few kilometers away at an agriturismo. But, if one was staying in the big city, this would be worth the drive. Creative dishes of local flavour at a reasonable price. Daily specials give an ever changing menu. Too bad we only had one night to eat here, I think I could have put on a few pounds trying everything. A really beautiful veranda for summer dining. Come hungry. Piccolo Hotel Ristorante San Valentino (lunch We almost missed this place, but my husband has a keen eye and saw the sign from the road as we were driving by on our way to visit the Abbazzi de Monte Oliveto Maggiorre. We stopped in on our way back for lunch and ate on their lovely patio. They brought an amuse bouche of cured meats and puffed pastries, which was lovely. We shared a mixed grill of meats and grilled vegetables with a side of fried potatoes. All the dishes were really wonderful. Simple but excellent. My husband finished with panna cotta and I had the tiramisu. Both were really well done and they disappeared in very little time. Then we accidentally accepted an offer of some kind of liquer or brandy, which was also quite nice. (Our Italian is quite limited. Wish I knew what it was! :

Soggiornando nell'hotel annesso al ristorante, abbiamo cenato qui tutto il tempo del nostro soggiorno. La cucina è puramente toscana, grande sorpresa per trovare la pasta fatta rigorosamente a mano, preparata con vari condimenti tutti molto apprezzati. grande varietà di secondi. dolci anche questi preparati in casa, la zuppa inglese mi ha ricordato che cosa mia nonna mi stava preparando, davvero eccellente. Lo consiglio vivamente a chi non soggiorna in hotel, merita davvero una deviazione. servizio amichevole e professionale. ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo.

Ottima esperienza. il layout è nel giardino esterno alla struttura in un ambiente piacevole e rilassante. il servizio al tavolo semplice e amichevole. cibo molto buono e prezzi modesti. Tutto è perfetto. Volevamo tornare indietro, ma era chiuso per il riposo settimanale
