But my favorite were the salmon cakes that had a kick lemon to him. The cozy feeling of restaurant and friendly staff was an additional bonus and made for a truly psychic experience.
On Sunday it was over. It was very good. They were only on the side, I tried to place the order, but nobody answered. So I had to wait for dinner. But it was good.
Always a great experience! Gluten-free and celiac friendly options (I recommend to call forward and let them know to be prepared for gf orders) BYOB. The best roasted chicken I've ever had!
Beyond the authentic, extremely polite and impeccable family business! The only gluten-free roasted chicken we had and we live in NYC. We did not find a restaurant that dares to make really gluten-free roasted chicken. The owner does not try to make trendy hipster food. The owner makes it for a family member who is really gluten-free! The food is fantastic and addictive! I had the maize bread for breakfast! All sides were also delicious! The portions are generous, we have it back for dinner! The restaurant and staff are really a breath of fresh air in Asbury Park, formerly a ghost town and is now a scene. There is no scene here just great food and friendly people!
We enjoyed an amazing meal and the wonderful company of the owner and her family after a day at the Sea Hear Now festival. We grew up in southern Louisiana and have eaten a lot of great, southern food along the Gulf Coast. We found this place by chance, since we parked nearby. We were thoroughly impressed by the food. The food is made with fresh ingredients. The owner has adjusted recipes to make healthier versions taste even better than the usual. My husband had a generous amount of juicy fried chicken perfectly cooked asparagus. We shared a black eyed pea and beet side salad. I had the tilapia with sweet potato topping. I wished I could have finished it all but my husband ended up eating my leftover to-go fish, out of the box and with his bare hands as soon as we got to our truck. We both enjoyed generous servings of collard greens (Oh, those collard greens! I could have eaten them out of their supply. . The cornbread was perfect. We live four+ hours away but this place may be calling us back. If you’re fortunate enough to meet and talk with the owner, Janice, you’re in for the full treat.
