George's Tavern - Arusha

I like the terrace seat and eating and drinking was good. more reasonable price.

Ordered the vegan moussaka with kokosmilch, which came with a side of fries and salat. every penny worth! they only have a few vegan options, but I was pleasantly surprised that the items have been specifically vegetarian/vegan marked - not something common in arusha!

The eating was nice, in a beautiful small open opposite. accidents were not cheap, but I think it is bc we were in a tourist area. although we were in the restaurant (we were 4 of us), it took an hour to get the dishes, so they just go there when they have time! the toilets are clean and the employees speak well English and are really nice.

Some vegan options, however, I would make it clear that they use all vegan products if that is their meal choice

Serves meat, vegan options available. The place is meat-heavy but they have a page of vegetarian/vegan options in the menu, with: falafel, veggie burger, pasta, sandwiches. Keep in mind, even if you order a vegan item it may come with a side that is not vegan, so just be clear with the staff. The food was ok. It's nice outdoor seating though, fun place to hang out.
