Goa Portuguesa Belapur - Artist Village

The ambience,music and food were balanced in the most amazing way,the restaurant serves both veg n non veg in goan and Marathi style and is real amazing.

I would begin by giving credit to this restaurant where it's due. The restaurant has the advantage of a very convenient and unmissable location near Belapur station. Also,the white and blue facade done in a quintessential "Goan Villa"style is very soothing and inviting. The interiors also do justice to the high expectations built from its external facade. Before I forget to mention, the Goan music they play is quite uplifting.Now comes their food which is supposed to be their USP. For this,I would like to divide people who enjoy seafood into 2 categories:- genuine seafood consumers for whom fish is more like a staple and seafood connoisseurs who eat fish occassionally or who have acquired the taste for fish later in their lives.Now for the first category, especially for Goans like my spouse, the seafood recipes they serve are merely a rip-off and a far cry from authentic Goan. None of the recipes had the distinctive Goan tanginess to them.Most turned out to be bland,insipid and the gravy in all tasted the same. Since Goan food is an emotional subject for my spouse, he was pretty much upset with their food.Well,for occassional seafood connoisseurs, they can give it a try once but please don't be fooled by the "Goan cuisine" claim!!!

Grrrrrreat food! Probably better than the most authentic goan restaurant in Goa itself. We ordered right from Cocktails, Mocktails, goan starters and goan curries with rice and believe me...all were equally awesome. A must visit restro in Navi Mumbai.

Went on for Friday dinner. The place is easily reachable. Ambiance is quite dull. may be it is Bar & Restro. Food taste is nice. Have ordered kerala paratha which is awesome. Staffs are very good One extra star for service (Though slow). However spend 1 and half hour to eat one plate chicken shawgoti and wade with kerala paratha and cheese chicken lollipop.They took flat 20 min to process bill :( Still overall good place. Weill visit again :)

Place located near in pub street, entrance is very inviting and ambience perfect for goan restaurant. Price point it's reasonably well compare to other restaurant in belapur. I had liked the food very much, extra oil and in stuff crab I found small broken shell of crab could have easily avoided. Service and music is good. Highhly recommended this place in belapur.
