The visible wooden beams around the entrance gave off the impression that it might be closed, despite the neon "open" sign being lit. However, once inside, the atmosphere was small and cozy, with tables nicely spaced apart. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals without any complaints, which is always a positive sign. The sushi rolls were quite good, and the miso soup was on point. Portion sizes were generous, and the service was commendable; the staff promptly cleared away empty dishes. This was our first visit, and we're hopeful that future experiences will be just as enjoyable, if not better. However, I did notice that the sushi chef wasn't wearing gloves while preparing the rolls. Also, be prepared for limited parking availability.
Tampopo offers great service and a pleasant atmosphere. I had the Poki bowl and a combo meal. The Poki bowl was tasty and had a satisfying portion size. However, the Udon was a bit bland and seemed overly mixed. Overall, the food was good, and I would recommend the restaurant for their lunch combos. One drawback was that they seemed to expect a larger tip than what I wrote down when entering. Surprisingly, my credit card company alerted me about this unusual tipping amount compared to the overall cost of my meal. Since the difference wasn't significant, I chose not to mention it to the restaurant.
It was my first time at this restaurant, and I found it quite expensive. Just look at my bowl—I'm really satisfied because I made sushi rolls!
Delicious!!! We got miso ramen and sesame chicken ramen set both tasted fantastic. I really recommend this place. It’s small and cozy and the service is awesome
If you're looking for a good ramen experience in the LA area, this place will give you that experience. Their ramen sets are amazing. You can pair your ramen with Korean bbq which is equally good, making the whole ramen meal even better. The staff are very friendly. Their ramen is just good in the mouth. It comes in a cheap price too. Regular bowl is around $8 and the large bowl is around $10, and btw, they come in big bowls. The large one can feed up to 3 people and the regular one can be shared with another person. They also serve sushis. Their calamari is one of the best calamaris i have ever tried, crispy from the outside but not chewy in the inside. Affordable and yet good. Their chashu btw, are the ramen's bomb! Try that!
