El Gallo De Oro - Arteixo

El Gallo de Oro was truly excellent. The food was spot on I didn't have better throughout my travels around northern Spain. The atmosphere was great too, as were the staff. I highly recommend a stop here if you're in Galicia!

Very friendly staff is so appreciated especially when you are out with a big group of friends! The different dishes were explained and described to us very accurately by friendly staff! A special mention about the seafood cocktail, which was absolutely fantastic! you have to try it, if you visit this restaurant! The relationship between prize and quality was absolutely spot on, the seafood was to die for, and at an affordable prize! (even for students!!! There was a good selection of desserts, we had a chocolate dessert callled climate change with 5 different textures of chocolate amazing! Will come back if I visit Galicia again!

After some time I 've finally returned to El gallo de Oro! They have changed their concept and now they have a new bar called Varmouth where they serve tapas and raciones at affordable prices! a more modern take... less formal.. I had seafood croquetas and they were so good!!!! And then we had mussles, scallops and clams (all really good!! and then two different types of rices with seafood which were also amazing. You can really notice the good quality of the seafood!!! The staff were nice and friendly and the atmosphere was really relaxed which is something i definitely appreciate when eating out! I also love the new terrace!!!!!

Place with charm and very cozy, the right attention, the food a little sad, good quality but lacks something, it is a pity after the information they give on their page is that the price of the menu of the day is 12,50 and at the end you pay 14, because you pay the iva apart, that put 14 euros and so would be better, another detail that looks poor is that in the menu you only have a water like drink, is not bad but there is not something bad

I have a lot. menu affordable and very complete. very quiet and pleasant place. and the owners very attentive. I repeat when I come back.
