J Huston Tavern - Arrow Rock

The performance of Sherwood was the reason why we were Arrow Rock, MO. I'm sure we'll be back for another performance. The acting, stage and event venues were the first class, which was quite unexpected in such a rural, tiny city in the Middle West. The building was once a church that adds a ton of charm. Sitting is comfortable and there are a good number of options for refreshments before, but the prices are too high imo. After the show there are some great restaurants and shops to see.

We had hot chocolate cookies in the management room. And then we had Santa.

Don't open most of the time. We reserved a Friday. Previously confirmed and then closed. Friends organization does it, but apparently has little control over the operation. You can't find a cook! The third attempt to eat there without luck is planning somewhere else.

The place is really cool, but... The chicken was very dry and it was like it was under a light. The Brisket Sandwich was good and the French salad dressing was great! I'm glad I went there once, but probably not back. The city is worth a visit and food here is worth the cost, but it just won't get your socks away. The menu is small. The potato is good.

There are no words to describe how amazing this fried tenderloin was. This may very well be, the best tenderloin I have ever had. The breading was crisp and tasty, the tenderloin was thick and tender. Wherever you live, no matter how far away, it is worth the drive! Service was equally awesome!!!
