Nutty Stand - Arnolds Park

I always enjoy eating a nut bar whenever we are in town. They are unique and I can't find them anywhere else.

I think I had a strange experience, it's a long, cool bar inside and it looks like they can order anywhere (although they have to take it outside to eat, at least now but it seems to be a tendency for a line to form in the right corner of the bar. I stepped on a free space along the bar and had to ask for one of two girls who had a tendency to help me. or maybe a girl has worked the line while the other girl treated the rest of the bar? I don't know, I'm still confused. I had a nutty bar and a root beer desired, but her root beer has caffeine and it was late on the day, so I just got the special output nuts bar, a crusty situation. the bar itself is quite square, and halfway through eating necessitates the whole chocolate falling off and on the floor. Overall, I felt it was a rather disappointing experience. I like the retro bar experience, I was just confused as it works, and probably should have got a real ice instead.

And you may ask yourself, Well... how did I get here I've been enjoying Nutty Bars since the late 1960s and during the times of the old Roof Garden next door. And if I'm visiting the Iowa Great Lakes like I do every year, I'm here. This is one of my happy places. Gayle and I were here last week. We had Lunch upstairs at The Gardens (Central Emporium) and enjoyed our modest walk through the new promenade and towards our tasty treat. I should have ordered the butter brickle, but I'm stuck in my classic ice cream bar ways. We found some shade on a nearby bench on this very hot summer day. Otherwise, maybe we would have wandered over to the Berkley Bedell State Pier, or sat down at the tables just outside the Nutty Bar parlor. We'll be back next season to happily start the process all over again. Same as it ever was, same as it ever was.....

If I could main line a nutty bar into my veins I would! I can’t even believe how good this place is. Best treats on a warm Okoboji summer day!

Our group had a fantastic time at these bars. If you want to get a taste of Okoboji, this is the place to go! The delivery was prompt and the communication was excellent.
