A&W Restaurant - Armstrong

And who doesn't like good old fashioned A&W burgers?!?!? Now even better...hormone and antibiotic free.

Stopped into this location while in Armstrong for a quick breakfast. Was greeted and served quite quickly and breakfast sandwich was very tasty.

This is your typical fast food restaurant, but is much more appealing now that renovations both inside and out are complete. The staff at this location are mostly friendly. The guys go here for morning coffee at least twice a week. It is very popular and at times you may not find a seat. The staff keep the dining area very clean. Check it out if in Armstrong.

Stopped in here on a thrift shop expedition working our way back from Salmon Arm. It was just at the beginning of lunch time but the restaurant wasn't busy. Only someone ahead asking for a coffee refill so the order was completed fast, perhaps in under two minutes. A few drive-thrus but they didn't seem to have to wait either.The Teen Burgers were o.k. Not stellar but o.k. Fries are made from potatoes that are too young so crispy on the outside but too wet inside. Nice touches of cold mugs and fries basket if eating in, though I think you get fewer fries in the basket.This place is budget only f you have a coupon.

The coupons are still valid (and the ones for McDonald's weren't) and we were on our north end of our thrift shopping trajectory for the day. Not crowded so not bad or slow service. We had coupons remaining for Chubby Chicken burger and a Mama burger meals so we used those. Both meats weren't too bad here tough the beef burger patty still isn't as good as the North Van (near the 2nd Narrows bridge) location. Maybe that one has the latest broiling equipment?Fries were crispy outside but a bit soggy inside. Not sure if it is the potatoes being used being too young and watery and not old and starchy. This branch does provide malt vinegar and A&W seasoning in shakers.Decor isn't too dated but not the newest. O.K. place to stop by.
