I ordered a meal for the whole family on the app, 433023, £25.15, to be paid in store. I picked up the order and a bottle of coke and paid the lady as she rotted up my bill. Got home, no chicken nuggets in the bag, rang the shop and advised of the error, was passed to a second person who asked if I could come back. My daughter went back and was informed that the nuggets were in the app order but we had to pay for them now, she didn’t argue and paid as requested. I would have thought that an app order was well documented and even if they didn’t charge for the nuggets and didn’t supply them they should have gave them for free along with an apology for us having to delay our meal and travel back to the shop. Wasn’t impressed, poor customer service for a regular like us.
Stopped here when visiting Local supermarket. Cold (sub zero) day and in need of some proper tucker as they say. The inside of the restaurant was pretty cold, but the food was fresh and really hot. Refuelled and ready to face the rest of the day! Great value, especially the lunchtime special.
Ordered a family tea via the PG chip app on Sat 11 Sept 2021. I thought this would be handy; order tea, jump in car and pick up without the need to queue. On arrival to the shop it was clear there was no queuing system at all for customers. Totally unacceptable. Customers didn’t know where to stand. There was only one assistant on the till (under pressure). If a customer orders by app or by telephone when they go to collect they should not have to wait in a disorganised mess to collect their food. Surely the purpose of the app is to make the ordering process more convenient and both customers and also the staff of the shop. There should be a queue for counter orders and then a collect point for app and telephone orders. I had to wait for at least 15 mins after my collection time before I was able to get to the counter to collect my app order. Another customers actually said what is the point in having the app if you have to queue anyway. Very slick service at the Chinese takeaway next door. I would urge PG chips need to take this into serious consideration. If they promote the app they need to ensure it is user friendly for their customers otherwise custom will go elsewhere.
There are only a few of the PG Chips shops on Tripadvisor and Moy isn’t one of them but I want to share my review and if nothing else, hoping the owner will read it and consider getting it up there for an opportunity for customers to produce feedback. I live around the corner, walking distance, and as a family we eat carry outs there probably to often but the food is fairly good. First thing is the PG Chips App hasn’t worked for a long time so although you can order and pay online for your other shops, we can’t for Moy. Then there is the service, I can live with the non engaging staff and formal service but three times now I have got home to find something missing from my order... the most recent was a couple of weeks ago (been on holiday) and when I rang down to explain, they didn’t answer the phone a til the third call and then the lady knew my food was there but hung up on my when I was complaining. I ran down to the shop to pickup the food and again voice my frustration, and a very tall man was very ignorant to me, said I swore to the lady in the phone (which I didn’t). We do like the food but if they continue to short us food and can’t implement a checking process I’m afraid to order carry out for anything more than one meal...
