I stopped by Whiskey Prime last week and had a sub par experience.. but I am so glad that I gave Whiskey Prime one more chance yesterday. Tiffany is an INCREDIBLE waitress. So kind, offered us recommendations and samples of the wine we bought, and was thorough in explanations of the menu. In contrast to our last visit, we watched her explain specials to every table, and give us the same level of care as every one of her other tables. Will be asking for her any time we have a craving for a steak. Cannot say enough positive things about this experience. Thank you Tiffany !
Came here for an anniversary dinner. Had the aged ribeye , corn ribs and and baked potato. And the fried artichoke. Everything was amazing. Our waitress was very sweet and quick. The restaurant was pretty dim and cold but this ok cause we had the meat sweats after the steak lol. Would definitely go back
This was our third trip to Whiskey Prime. Our first two experiences were lovely, this last trip was extremely disappointing to say the least. What is the purpose of making notes on a reservation if no one is going to read/pay attention to them. It is a rhetorical question of course, the reason is so you don't have to tell the entire dinning room that you are gluten free so don't bring the bread, and you are there to celebrate a special occasion... My husband and I both had the 8oz fillet, medium, with loaded bakers, and the asparagus. The steaks were cooked as ordered but they were extremely dry and flavorless. I tried smearing the butter from the bread basket on mine to give it some lubrication but it was useless. My husband's steak was equally bad. One should never have to order 3$ steak sauce to make fillet mignon edible. The potatoes were ridiculously huge, easily 3 times the size of the steak and barely warm enough to melt the butter. The service was sub par as well. We ran out of water mid meal and were never offered more, no offer of a second cocktail, and no offer of dessert. And the waiter dropped my husband's fork in his lap, tines down covered in not quite melted potato butter. When we mentioned the disappointing steaks we were simply told they would let the management know even though the steaks were sitting on the plates barely touched. We opted to get a doggy box for our steaks so at least our dog could eat them. It was a not so happy birthday meal.
My husband and I went here on Wednesday for our 14th wedding anniversary. It was easy to get same-day reservations and, when I contacted the restaurant, they said we could bring our children with us despite it being in a casino. We ended up finding a babysitter and so we were able to go out on our first date in 4 years lol. The restaurant itself is a little bit hard to find if you 're not looking for it, but I think that gives it a bit of extra specialness. The food is exquisite. I 've become a bit of a steak snob after having the opportunity to eat at the Metropolitan Grill a few times and was pleasantly surprised to find out that Whiskey Prime is absolutely scrumptious! My husband and I shared a hatchet steak, a salad, and a baked potato. We didn 't even finish half the food and felt like we needed to be rolled out of there Violet Beauregard style! (Made an awesome breakfast hash with the leftovers the next morning. One of my favorite parts of this restaurant was seeing how everyone was working together to cover each other 's customers. There wasn 't any oh, let me get your server for you type of thing, we had multiple people stop by our table to drop things off so that we weren 't kept waiting for too long. Definitely treat yourself if you 're ever in the area!!
