We opted to have dinner at Lockhart Smokehouse at Texas Live! adjacent to the stadium.Like other places, they sell their meats by the pound (1/2lb, actually). We selected brisket, pork ribs and sausage plus the baked beans and mac-n-cheese as sides. The restaurant gave us a loaf of white bread … we consumed half of the loaf and left the remainder for other patrons. The brisket was juicy and tender but I ended up using the barbeque sauce on the table. The pork ribs were okay; a little dry for my liking, but tasty. The sausage was tender and subtly flavored; perhaps we should have selected the one with Jalapeno for more kick. The mac-n-cheese was great and the baked beans were satisfactory. What did we think? It was good (but not great) barbeque and the proximity to the stadium made it a “no brainer” for us. Recommended if you order wisely!
Ranger fans have been cursed again. It's difficult to find bad BBQ in Texas but, unfortunately, you will find it here. The dry brisket is akin to jerky. Tough with a faint hint of smoke. The potato salad is meh, the beans are flavorless and the sauce is, well, just yucky. Let's hope that one of the good BBQ operators in the metroplex buys them out soon. Until then, I am out!
Sausage was under cooked. Mac and cheese was way to thick, sort of cold and tastes like paste, potato salad a first tasted good then it tastes like brisket, BBQ sauce salsa and potatoes all mixed together like a casserole. It was gross. The turkey was good it was worth two starts. The Dr. Pepper was not good either and the ice wasn't ice clear. It was foggy. Possibley cause it was cold and it was warm out. Either way was disappointed in the entire experience. Cost was typical sporting event and BBQ prices. Cost verses experience wasn't worth it.
We went to this location on Sunday. We had Brisket and Chicken. Brisket was dry , but the flavor was great. Chicken fabulous. Why the low stars? My spouse and I fell sick the next day, with me having a severe case of food poisoning, requiring IV hydration. Missing work to recuperate. Awful, just awful! Proper handling of food, temperature monitoring is very important
Stopped in for dinner while visiting Arlington . Service was friendly. Good and atmosphere was great! Good beer selection . Mac and cheese was great! ??
