(especially to leave it on the side) the menu (see attached) is interesting, the combinations are not common for the other restaurants in the city. the restaurant is incredibly popular, so make reservations if you want to come during the peaks. the service is comfortable and professional.
So far the best food experience in our 10 day trip in Greece. The food is traditional, with a signature touch. The service is high class, attention is perfect, and the details to be appreciated. We ordered marinated anchovies, moussaka with yoghurt and seabream with spinachs and lemon sauce, acompannied by both red and white wine the former so fruity and ideal everything so delicious. The detail on the dessert made with biscuit and chocolate was the cherry on the top. Come and see by yourself
I could only say this is the best Greek food I've tasted in Greece. Not in Athens, not in Santorini, but in Nafplio. We ordered orzo in prawn, pork tenderloin, codfish and stuffed squid. Prawn and stuffed squid is extremely well done. It tasted extremely well. Pork tenderloin is tender and juicy. I've tasted the L I'm athens as well, Pidalio did a lot more better than them. If you are in Nafplio, don't miss out this restaurant.
I only had one small pasta dish here but wish I had ordered more. The food was absolutely exquisite and more “refined” than the average tavern. The service was quite friendly initially but near the end, was practically absent, hence the 4 stars. Seated outside gave me a view of the fortress. Ordering was efficient and the food came out fast. I had the octopus ravioli special of the day. The pasta was delicate in a delicious sauce with some sort of herb on top ? this is where the absence of the wait staff was frustrating bc I could not ask the question). While I enjoyed the dish immensely, two things would have made it better the ravioli stuffing was extremely meager, almost not there and the portion size was quite small. The dessert cake was amazing and made up for feeling hungry after the entree. I also would have liked to have had coffee with the cake but alas, there was no wait staff to order from. The cake was literally dropped off from behind me as the waiter immediately walked away. Anyway, I was finally able to flag down a waitress at the next table and she helped settle the bill. It wasn’t until I left that I realized I wasn’t provided an itemized receipt in my haste to leave. I have no idea how much the pasta cost since it was an off menu item.
A hidden gem out of the buzz with a welcoming stuff, tasty traditional Greek cuisine and some other creations by the chef, cherry on the cake : delicious catch of the day fish. One negative point : French fries are full of oil and not fried to perfection. Recommended.
