Terrasse Du Racou - Argelès-sur-Mer

First visit was to find out about the climbing routes on the local crags staff generously gave up their time to help us. Second visit was as a party of six on a busy lunchtime and again the staff were helpful: tolerant of our indecision, gave useful advice, and were not hassling us to move on. The food was well prepared and the menu had a good range of dishes. Parking nearby.

You could easily walk past as this is the first restaurant you will come to in Racou. Great atmosphere, great staff and great food. Pizzas are amazing. Often have live music, very cool and very relaxing.

Nice place, friendly staff, delicious food. Clean intimate location in a small village near to the seaside.

This restaurant as Val Marie was one of our favourite lunch stops for x great many years with a great varied menu. It’s clearly changed hands and seems to be focussing it’s attention more as a bar. The menu consisted of a choice of ‘poke bowls’, pizza or two salads. I opted for a chicken poke bowl... a very small amount of dry chicken fillet, 5 cherry tomatoes, 4 little cucumber sticks and a bowl of grains .. I didn’t feel it was worth 13 euros. Service wasn’t brilliant either. We spoke to a lovely waitress afterwards and asked if it was a new proprietor and explained our disappointment. She was sorry and said the limited menu was as it was after 2pm. We looked at the before 2pm menu which she kindly brought but it didn’t really tempt us to visit again. Such a shame but I guess things change.

After a swim, we were looking for a restaurant for a family lunch. We stopped at the racou terraces without knowing where we were putting our feet. Superb discovery, a pleasant place, a super efficient service and with a smile. Top dishes, it was good and fresh. with a simple mozzarella tomato, they were able to make it a magic dish that was included in a menu at 18.50 euros (entrance / dish / dessert) and it was quality mozza and not a ersatz of great distribution. We just settled on argeles and we'll go back to this establishment without any problems. Nice to find places in a highly touristic place and in the middle of the season with a great relation quality / price.You do not take the customers for simple tourists of passages, thanks...Just two small flats and you will really be at the top:- think to change the quality of the chocolate for desserts. - coffee quality is not top, but it is often the last impression before departure.
