Brasserie Le Pre - Arâches-la-Frasse

Went in for a coffee, it was about half full and just a few people were eating but they refused to serve us in case they needed the table for lunches.

We stopped here for a drink , inbetween skiing. !st time Slow to take our order, then sent i bottle short, so we waited till the missrible waitress brought the bill,we exspland we hadnt had one water , she appoligies and we waited anorther for it, ok not realy a problem, so we wnt back to skiiing. time This time after or more minutes i had to walk up and ask if we could order (not over busy maybe tables) she mutterd something and pointed over to our table, we ordered hot chocolates with cream, black teas . We got hot chocolates with creanm without ,No problem my wife just scrapped the cream off.we put the tea bags into hot water, it turned out to be green tea. No problem i popped the cups up and said im sorry its green tea,she said something to the man in the kitchen , he looked up and mutterd, she passed two more hot waters and put two more tea bags in..i said thank you went sat down only to get a lavender smell. I went back up and tried to exsplain that we had lavender tea this time.She snatched the cups and tipped out the tea bag and refilled the cups with hot water and got two more tea bags and shoved them at my face . I said yes thats black english tea. she pushed them towards me spilling one ,boiling hot water spilled.by now im getting pissed off, i tell her if theirs a problem i will have our money back. i was so pissed off i refused to drink my tea and made a point of tipping it away while she looked. euros. We never went back and walked past to another cafe for drinks after that To the owners , change your staff ,get somebody that is pleased to serve, paise attention to what you order, and doesnt just want to flirt with the French lads.

Great location by the Telebenne “yoghurt pots” loft and the main DMC lift. Speedy service especially during peak lunch time. Great for burgers, waffles and that sort of thing. Enjoyed the burger and the croque monsieur. Included photos of the menu for your convenience!

Next to the main DMC run this is a great option for good quality decent priced food on the slopes. Burgers, waffles and hot dogs all recommended and you can ski in and out!

Ate here a couple of times and found the food good, the service good and for a mountain restaurant surprisingly good value. As usual though, soft drinks were expensive.
