Sid's Smokehouse - Aptos

This restaurant seemed like a good spot to try some BBQ, but the experience was disappointing. Firstly, the waitress seemed more focused on chatting with the regulars and ignored our table. The food was bland, especially my pulled pork sandwich which lacked flavor and had poorly shredded meat with large chunks that were difficult to eat. Overall, it felt like this place caters more to the local crowd.

The BBQ at this restaurant is not good. While the atmosphere is lively and the staff is friendly, the quality of the food falls short. I tried everything on the menu - the ribs were overcooked and inedible, the pulled pork lacked seasoning, but the brisket was tasty. The BBQ sauce was plain and not used effectively in the dishes. The coleslaw was good, but the cornbread was average. As someone familiar with BBQ from living in the south and Texas, I can say that this place needs improvement in their seasoning and preparation techniques.

Actually, just average. Brisket was lukewarm, not very tender. Mac and cheese was pretty good. Beans were ok. Sauced is much better, but at a price.

Another hidden gem for great BBQ and plenty of TVs to enjoy a game.
