Hunan 1 - Appleton

Putting 5 stars so people aren?t fooled like I was at first glance. Drove 20 minutes to get to the establishment. Upon starting with the fortune cookie it was S.T.A.L.E but also soft at the same time. Didn?t taste like a fortune cookie but more of a oldseafood infused piece of soggy cardboard. Ended up getting the pork fried rice with shrimp. The rices itself leaves a ucky tastein mouth. meal all together was mediocre at best and to be completely honest you?ll want to throw it away. This is coming from aperson who is not a picky eater. ???? Id recommend a different place!

My favorite restaurant on College Ave for it's amazing food, amazing prices, and its proximity to Lawrence. It's much closer to my residence hall than even the campus dining hall. Only one thing would make it better: Please for at least one day in the weekmake it open past 9pm. Toppers gets a lot of business from college students simply because it's the only thing open at midnight.

Hunan 1 was a clasp when I was in college (it was cheap and right across the street from where I lived), and I continued to frequent there when I was back in.

Definitiw not the best choice for Chinese food in the Fox cities, would highly recommend looking at other places and not wasting time or money on hunan 1 .

The love this place a day on the look for a new place for good Chinese and no matter what someone says that do a good job! very good.
