Mustang Charlie's Diner - Apex

I was thrilled to discover a place like this! After moving from Rochester, where a good plate is a must, I was excited to find this spot. It didn't disappoint—the meat sauce was perfectly seasoned, the macaroni salad was delicious, and, of course, having a Zweigle's hot dog on top (if you know, you know) made me feel right at home again.

I was surprised to discover a restaurant within a car dealership, but it turned out to be a delightful experience. The food was excellent and made to order, with a diverse menu to choose from. I've been a regular breakfast customer since I first visited three months ago. I would definitely recommend this place!

I had a wonderful experience at Crossroads Ford in Apex. The food was fantastic and served quickly. They offered vegetarian options, and they kindly swapped out the bacon in my breakfast burrito for an extra egg. It was delicious!

The restaurant's design is simple and streamlined, which actually created a pleasant atmosphere during these COVID times, as it makes cleaning much more manageable. The restrooms were immaculate and well-maintained too. We all chose different dishes and were thrilled with our selections! Our table featured a variety that included Belgian waffles, pancakes, breakfast tacos, scrambled egg whites, grits, fruit bowls, trash plates, and home fries. Everything arrived quickly and was fresh and delicious—except for the sausage links, which were a bit past their prime. They even accommodated a few modifications for me to make my meal healthier. This would be a fantastic place for takeout breakfast or lunch, especially if you work nearby! I rated it 4 out of 5 stars due to their use of environmentally harmful products. Despite dining inside, all our meals were served on non-recyclable plastic plates with disposable plastic utensils, and our drinks came in Styrofoam cups, which take a minimum of 500 years to decompose. Once we finished, we had to toss everything into a large garbage can before leaving. During the two hours we enjoyed our meal and coffee, I noticed quite a bit of foot traffic for such a remote location. However, I couldn't help but think about the significant waste being generated daily, especially when eco-friendly options, like commercially compostable and easily recyclable materials, are readily available. They excelled in so many other areas, so I really hope they consider making some positive changes in this regard.

I had a large portion of fish at the Friday fish fry, and it was delicious. I'm really glad I decided to stop by, and I would definitely recommend this place. It may seem unusual to find great food at a car dealership, but it's worth it. I'll be returning soon!
