This is a real family-run restaurant on a pedestrian area with Nonna in the kitchen, delicious local dishes and the rest of the family, friendly service and great beer and wine choices. Buon appetito!
The food was amazing! Great and nice service!
Amazing traditional food, a true jewel of Valle d’Aosta. Top quality and super service. Do not miss the Polnta, which is exquisite, or the legendary Fondue de Bouruignon, which will make your day a better one. When Dessert we tried the Tarte Tatin, who might be the best we ever had. The restaurant is family business and you can see the dedication and love that goes into it. Prices are very moderate, given the ingredients, quality and execution. If you are lucky, you will also stumble about celebrities who film nearby (our happened), as this is a place of choice for connoisseurs. I read (very few) negative reviews and I wonder how biased they are. Either these people had a bad day, or they don't understand the first food. I see that they practice conventional burger connections in Milan, extremely expensive and quite mediocre, as food goes and out in this restaurant. They would not be able to eat an appetizer at this price in Milan and taste is taste, I understand, but sometimes good is only objective and this Osteria deserves nothing less than 4 stars to 5 stars. Pay attention to clearly biased negative comments.
This family-run restaurant in a cozy room on one of the main trains was a pleasant surprise with its menu choices of local dishes and wines. We chose one of the fixed price choices of 5 dishes, each paired with a glass of wine. Three dishes would be better suited, we barely managed, we were so full. My calf soup came on a dazzling plate, cut table side of Momma they cut all orders of the calfs at the different tables and it was a show. For the 4th bowl we received a delicious cheese plate mine was a selection of cow cheese and my husband 's was goat cheese. The son was our waiter and he moved from Italian to French with relative ease around the restaurant. The restaurant sits around 25 at any time. It was lovely and the son went out of his way to explain every dish and the wines together. Several families with small children have also eaten child-friendly here! I will recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Aosta.
A seasoned traveler and a hunter of good food, I will put Nando on my top 20! The family works hard and it shows, the love comes pouring from the kitchen and it stays with you way pass desert! Do not pass it by, better yet... make it a destination
