Fancied a wee lunch date.. Perfect from start to finish. Guinness is delicious, bud light very good. Food, and service fabulous.. Chicken Thank you for a nice afternoon well spent.

My partner and I called in here for a bite to eat last Monday on my way back from Belfast. If there was a spot for no stars, that is what I would give this place. I wantedd to complain but my partner told me not to as he didn't want to make a scene. Im so sorry I didn't now. I ordered chicken goujons and garlic, and he had the pitta chicken. His chicken was like charred rubber it was so overcooked. My meal was like a plate of grease. The goujonsweres just pure grease on a plate. I scraped the batter off and tried to eat the chicke, but it was like goo. The garlic fries were in a bowl of grease. The young waiter who lifted the plates just did that and no more. We were never offered desserts, notthat wee would have taken any anyway. The other staff were just cleaning around us as if to say it's leaving time. It's very rude to be brushing up floors and spraying tables in a clean u in front of customers. Me and my friend called in here for lunch as we had been before and it was good, not such a, good experience this time, I had bbq ribs which were dry tough tasteless and had about one tablespoon of bbq sauce on the top, some chips were hard in the middle to, my friends was edible if nothing else, very overpriced £40 for bland boring food, staff weren't overly helpful either or pleasant, so I definitely wouldn't recommend or be returning extremely poor.

Called to this place at 16:00hrs on a Saturday for something to eat… no dogs allowed it was a small dog also a cavapoo… this is not a dog friendly pub… shame place was empty also…

First time visiting Ellie Mays and will defo be the last. On arrival bar staff were ignorant, unhelpful and looked sad to be working. The girl with the blonde hair and glasses was so unhelpful and ignorant informing us we didnt have time to decide what we wanted as the kitchen was 5 minutes from closing, this immediately put pressure on us. The food was well 2/10 at the most the price didnt reflect the quality nor the presentation. The hole experience was not pleasant and we wont be visiting again. Bar staff should be more welcoming and pleasant this would make a big difference.
