Okawa Japanese - Antioch

I work in the area and Bentoya is our usual place to take Teriyaki and Maki, it is cheap and fast and decent. Okawa has a bento teri lunchbox that is only $5.95. It includes two grilled chicken breast cut over steamed rice with sweet teri sauce, larger than average ice burg salad with a delicious ginger citrus vinagrette, plus a steaming bowl delicious Miso soup with mushrooms, green onions and a little mouthful rice noodles. Maki was very average, the spicy tuna reel was four HUGE rounds, which were mostly rice with chopped Albacore, sriracha and Mayo. The Caterpillar Roll was a little better, but the Tempura shrimps in the middle were baked and had an unhealthy amount of dough. Safeway maki is also WAY better and cheaper. In summary, I will certainly go back because the $5.95 Teri Box Lunch was great and a bargain, but I would eat NIE here or order ANY KIND from maki or sashimi again. A last comment, the take-out service was good, I ordered via the phone (they need an online menu BTW). Also the ambience was very beautiful and stylish in view of the datierte dingy stripmall location. They have a cool saltwater reef fish tank, orchids, Japanese craftsmen replica furniture, paper screens, slate tile floors, and tasteful art and decor.
