Creperie La Versache - Anniviers

This place is now called Crêperie Bistrot Dahu and the place is worth a detour, despite it being a few meters uphill from Zinal’s main road and parking lot. First to have a drink on the terrasse; and second to eat the delicious crêpes. The staff is extremely friendly and pays attention to details. We had amongst others a very tasty goat cheese honey crêpe at CHF 18 on dark dough; a good ham cheese on white dough at CHF 12 (you can order any crepe on white dough as well, not on the menu), a provençal crêpe at CHF 16. As sweet crêpes we can recommend homemade chocolate at CHF 7, salty butter caramel at CHF 9, butter-lemon-sugar at CHF 7. Add to this reasonably priced open red wine Pinot at 4 CHF/dl or a white Petite Arvine at 6 CHF/dl. Bravo. Please keep going. We will come back.

We ate their crepes upon arriving Zinal, then on another day returned for a family special evening. They were very accommodating our special request. We will return again for their beef tartare because it is only available for weekend dinners. Totally recommended for all ages and tastes don’t be fooled by the name of a crêperie, there are many tasty dishes well prepared with local ingredients. Service is fast and friendly. Don’t miss the double sized ‘milles feuilles’ which is by far the best of its kind, for me.

Nice local place with crepes of course, but also a variety of other dishes. The night we went one man took our order, cooked and served. Good local food in a casual atmosphere. Prices are very good for Switzerland.

Ok, this is not the fanciest place in town... but the service and the cooking is honest and excellent when you compare price and quality. The owner wil cook you sweet or salty pancakes or suggest some delicious dishes, depending on the season, what he found on the market and what was shot by the local hunters... Do not walk away if you see no one... he's actually cooking all day and you might just arrive between two shifts. P.S.: probably the best coffee in the village

Our group of 7 all had something different to eat and all enjoyed our meals. Betweeen us we had crepes, pasta, steak, rosti, sausages, chips. Waiter was very helpful and friendly too. Would recommend.
