Pauvert Traiteur - Annecy

Pauvert Traiteur is an institution in Annecy, and as 'Meilleur Ouvrier de France ' it well might be. We have bought goodies here on several occasions over the years, from quiches to seafood salads, sandwiches etc...... Service can be fairly abrupt if the queues are long, and on the slightly snooty side on occasions. We also have the impression that the house is resting on its laurels.... You can get similarly good quality products nearby, at far more reasonable prices.....

We stumbled on this shop when wandering around Annecy. It is without any doubt in the top echelon of take out/pre prep food shops on a world wide scale. Eventually and usually quite quickly any traveller has had enough restaurant food and wants cold salad type food to have a picnic either in the park or back at your hotel if you can. There will be nowhere better than this place the food on offer is no less than work of art brilliant. See pictures

Visited this spot a few times for their pizza. It's hard to find good vegan pizza in Annecy so I was delighted to see their tomato pizza in the window. There are a few pieces of cheese on the top but I just removed it before taking it home to bake/warm. What we love about the pizza is the fresh tomato sauce and onions on delightful tasty bread. There are plenty of other vegan dishes too. I like how the food quality is at restaurant level but the prices are lower. Enjoy!!!

Traiteur renommé sur Annecy situé en plein coeur de la vieille ville. Qualité des produits et des plats préparés. Assez cher cependant mais normal. Un bémol cependant : je trouve inadmissible que la charcuterie et notamment le jambon blanc (par ailleurs excellent) ne soit pas servi avec des gants. Dommage pour un établissement de cette catégorie
