We came here for dinner one night duing a lovely visit to Annecy. Sadly for us the night came to an abrupt end. To cut a long story short, we never stayed for food. My daughter (having tucked her feet under herself on the sofa seat) suddenly let let out a scream. She was holding her foot, there was blood pouring from it. The waiter could not have been less interested, the senior staff were hiding somewhere trying to avoid having to get involved. The first aid kit they brought to the table was incredibly poor, dirty and incomplete I really hope that this was not the same kit used in the kitchen, otherwise I'm 100% sure they need a visit from French equivilent of health and safety. So we left, having not even had to much as a drink. 10 mins later I was back in our apartment puling a 1.5cm sliver of glass from her foot. The glass must have been embeded in the seat and then into he foot as she moved. It was clear it must have come from broken wine glass. Now, accident shappen, but I was appauled at the lack of action on behalf of the restaurant. The poor girl was howling in pain and it was your fault and you never cared at all. So thank you, for ruining our evening in Annecy. PS we had even sat for 15 mins proir to this happening not even so much as a approach form a waiter to take a drinks order. You'll thank me if yo uavoid this place read the reviews........
This was such a find , from start to finish they made us feel special , excellent service from the staff especially Antoine . Fantastic food and wine . Def worth going to , we’ll be back , wish we’d found it earlier in our holiday . Steaks were superb and cooked to perfection
It was a cold wet evening, so we didn't want to spend any more time hunting out a decent restaurant. This place was open at 7.00pm so we dived in out of the rain. We are regular visitors to Annecy visiting family so have lots of experience of Savoyard cuisine. We made the mistake of ordering tartiflette. Words almost fail me in trying to describe it. It was VERY overcooked bone dry, and the potatoes were like shoe leather. Yes, I know we should have complained, but we didn't just left it uneaten, and left. To be fair, other people's meals that we passed on the way out looked OK mussels for example so maybe the moral of the story is simply, don't order the tartiflette.
We ordered the Cafe de Paris meat, which was good but too small (compared to what we saw on instagram). The menu at 40€ was good too. Very good service by Antoine.
We stopped because we wanted a fish friture posted on the menu. We have been used to and greedy with splashing and we have been disappointed with the sintering of unspoilts because fish a little too big for our taste. However, we enjoyed the welcome and good mood of staff always listening to the client. well installed on the terrace we still had a pleasant moment. a table that I recommend for its conviviality and a cuisine that seems of quality.
