Tequila Sunrise - Annapolis

Four of us dined here for the first time last night, and it was a wonderful experience! We tried several main courses, including fajitas, tacos, enchiladas, and chimichangas. We all agreed that the food was delicious and very fresh. Additionally, the decor in the seating area is quite beautiful.

I believe the reviews for this Mexican restaurant are misleading, as they seem to reflect poorly on other places, which is why this one has good ratings. In reality, it wasn't very good at all, especially compared to some even worse options out there. I ordered a shrimp chimichanga, which was fried properly, but it was mostly filled with fajitas and had very few shrimp. My fiancée had the fajitas with steak, shrimp, and chicken, but they lacked seasoning and were quite bland, dominated by large pieces of bell pepper and tomato. We also had a snake appetizer, which was not great and had no seasoning at all. We won't be returning.

A hidden gem! The food and drinks are delicious, and the prices are quite reasonable.

Great food; attentive serviceThis was our first visit.There were not many cars in the parking lot, so we were afraid it would not be a good experience. We went in and were pleasantly surprised.It was 2:15 on a Saturday afternoon.For most of our meal, we were the only customers there.Many restaurants have not been providing very good service during this pandemic. However, the server at Tequila Sunrise was very attentive.The restaurant is probably busier at night.Once we ordered our food, it only took about five minutes to receive it.I am used to chain Mexican restaurants such as Chuy’s and On the Border. This restaurant’s atmosphere is a little more upscale. The food is equal or better than most chain Mexican restaurants.The restrooms were clean.You can tell that they take pride in their restaurant. The restaurant owner’s name was written on the menu.I will make it a point to try to dine here again.
