The grilled fish was good. Overall I have to say the food wasn’t all that great. The service was okay. The place wasn’t busy at all for a Sunday and could hear some of the personal conversations of the staff/owner. Have to say the owner has a very foul mouth and really wasn’t pleasant to hear…
Horrible Service, The lady who answers the phone for pick up orders is incredibly unprofessional and rude. Two weeks ago my Mother in law came here to eat with a few of her friends. Their waiter was INCREDIBLY rude and so my mother in law left a very small tip. When they were walking out of the restaurant, the waitress came chasing after them asking her why she left such a small tip. My mother in law's friends spoke up and told the waitress that she extremely rude that they didn't think she deserved a tip after the horrible service they received. My mother in law felt bad and so she handed her more cash before leaving.(so my mother in law left a tip from her card AND handed her some cash on the way out) This morning my mother in law called to tell me that she received a notification from her bank that shows her card was charged more than what she paid for at this restaurant. Fortunately she kept her original receipt and on the receipt it shows the actual amount my mother in law left for tip which does not add up to how much the restaurant charged. Basically what happened was...SOMEONE AT THE RESTAURANT, THE WAITER OR THE OWNER CHANGED THE TIP AMOUNT ON THE RECEIPT AND CHARGED THE CUSTOMER MORE THAN WHAT THEY SIGNED FOR AFTER THE CUSTOMER LEFT THE RESTAURANT. It was only a few dollars but man...we are furious. BE CAREFUL save your receipts!!
I read a lot of great reviews. Not the case here. I ordered two different fish soups. Both soups were mostly broth and tofu- literally just a couple small pieces of fish and vegetables. The galbi I ordered was burnt. Not coming back here.
I was a big fan of Vit goel tofu soups until they've gone down the hill and it's just not the same anymore. But stone tofu has been a great alternative! They offer more variety to the type of tofu soups which is awesome. Their freshly made rice in the pressure cooked pot is amazing which you can only get when you dine in. Make sure to pour the water in the pot as soon as you scoop out the rice for your scorched bottom to fully come off and ready to be eaten. Another dish that they do really well is the marinated raw crabs in soy sauce! You can't really find this dish anywhere who does it well but stone tofu does. They've got a good variety on their menu and is great for everyone!
Pregnant wife was excited to order this food for pick up via GH. When I arrived and told them about the order, one woman checked and said there was no order. Both staff was confused and said there was no order and walked away from me leaving me confused because the app said it was taken. Another staff came back and took someone else's order and I asked where was my order she said call your app company. I called GH and they said that the order was cancelled by the staff at the Stone Tofu!!!! I was shocked and I brought this up to the two staff and they just ignored me, I asked if I should go somewhere else and she said go and didn't even bother offering me to take a new order walking away and didn't even apologize. We went to lighthouse tofu, this is a freaking joke. Never coming back.
