The Sandbar - Anna Maria

Lions mane steak! very good. on this old school island I don't have many possibilities. our server was excellent and has addressed our concerns. we started with the Brussel splashes, (pronounced the honey dressing) and also had the black beans hummus- I thought it was unique because it was served with different sweets, but the bathroom was a bit blande. my son had the vegan burger he really enjoyed, it was served on a delicious roll and had grilled mushrooms and swirl to make it more interesting. they were from the flourless chocolate cake that sounds like vegan, so our server brought us a bowl with fresh berries for dessert.

The restaurant is located directly on the beach, with high trips. but it is a good option for a counter with few choices for vegans. there are a few vegan options that are specifically marked on the menu, including a black bean hummus appetizer and a vegan burger what I have. the patty was only one beyond burger (not to inspire), but it came on a delicious ciabatta roll with sautéed mushrooms and tweebel, avocado, etc., and roasted vegetables on the side. all the seating were under tents/eye umbrellas when I went on covid, but the interior of the restaurant and bar looks beautiful (for the after-times... here hopes as with most tourist sites directly on the beach, they also have a gift shop.

Overrated! Drinks were amazing, but the food outside was superb and inside it was umm... gross and subpar. I ordered the tacos and they were missing...
