Carson's American Bistro Ann Arbor

We like and enjoy Carson's Bistro! Reservations for 6 p.m. Sended immediately upon arrival. Quiet atmosphere, especially since reopening. Smaller menu, but great choices! Appetizer of bistro chips light enough for 4, and very full. Corn Chowder is every time we visit! Many corn and other vegetables with a hint of spices! Steak and Prime Rib perfectly cooked!! I was disappointed that the cast iron cookie is no longer available, but the warm butter cake was devine!!! We will return even though it is a 45-minute drive!!

Been going here for a few years. Have noticed a decline in service and quality over the last year.

Carson 's is our go to place for steak. My girlfriend got the filet mignon and I got the sirloin. They were both delicious as usual. Mixed vegetables were very fresh and perfectly cooked, crisp and flavorful. She got the Caesar salad and I got the house with vinaigrette and blue cheese they were also fresh and very good. Be sure to get the bread they offer as an appetizer! The playlist varies but it 's always good and never obtrusive. Last Saturday was jazz; Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, et al. Last time was classical, last last time was 70s/80s classic rock. The dining room is open but not noisy. I think you 'll enjoy it!
