There is no guarantee of a table, but I went ahead and reserved for 7:15. We ended up being seated around 7:45. The hostess greeted us at the entrance and our waitress was very attentive, checking on us regularly. The manager also came by to ensure everything was going well. We quickly ordered the Atlantic salmon with asparagus and rice pilaf, chicken tortilla soup, Black Rock Ribs, House Salad, Mac and Cheese, and 3 Jumbo Shrimps. The soup and salad came out first and were delicious and a perfect size. Our main course arrived after about 20 minutes, and it was well-presented and tasty. The portion sizes were just right. The atmosphere and surroundings were pleasant, and they were following safety protocols, making sure to clean and sanitize after each table was cleared. The only downside was that the floors were a bit greasy, and I saw a few guests almost slip. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at the Black Rock Ann Arbor location and it has become my new favorite spot in Michigan.
My wife and I wanted a nice lunch, so we stopped. After sitting, Gregory helped us to order drinks, appetizers, and explained their signature black rock cooking method. He was very friendly, helpful and friendly. We brought our food immediately, never left our drinks empty, and was quick to make helpful suggestions. He's a real good for this fabulous restaurant. The food was great. The atmosphere was great. The service will bring us back.
This restaurant is fantastic for steak lovers and also offers delicious seafood options. I tried the Ahi Tuna Steak and it was excellent. It can be cooked or served raw like sushi, and I enjoyed it somewhere in between. The Brezel bites were also amazing, especially with the addition of cheddar and cream cheese. I also tried the Brownie dessert which was delicious, but I was too full from the meal to finish it. I definitely want to come back and try the volcano dessert next time.
My husband and I went to the wedding day restaurant tonight. It was definitely one of the best dining experiences we've had. Grayson was extremely attentive and friendly. The food was outstanding. The margaritas were tasty! We usually go to the Canton location, but the Ann Arbor location surpassed our expectations. Excellent job!
Delicious!!! We were worried about it being overpriced with bad food, as it’s around a lot of tourist areas such as UMich. Contrary to this thought, the food was amazing and we would definitely come back! Great meat, drinks, and desert. We had appetizers, main dishes, and desert and the total w/o tip was around $23 a person. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly if you’re in the area, come by!
