Adriatic Pizza - Ankeny

I had an amazing dining experience! The service was fantastic; Jazmin was incredibly attentive and made sure everyone was well taken care of. I tried the Hawaiian pizza, which had a nice crunchy crust. The sauce had a bit of a spicy kick, and while I would have preferred it without bacon, it was still tasty. The Leaner pizza was loaded with meat and very hearty—so much so that we ordered small pizzas and couldn't finish them. Overall, a great meal!

As for the pizza, I always look for something unique about a dish that many restaurants offer. Over my years of visiting the Leaning Tower, I've discovered that they have THE BEST SAUCE around. Seriously, it truly sets their thin crust pizza apart from the rest. So, if you're in the area, make sure to check out Leaning Tower at Uptown and try their onion rings and pizza!

My friend and I stopped at this restaurant after biking the High Trestle Trail from Woodward to Ankeny, and I'm really glad we decided to check it out. The pizza was incredibly delicious, featuring a thin crust and generous toppings. We shared a specialty pizza that included one half called 'The Works' and the other half 'Chicken Bacon...'. The indoor dining area was nice, and the service was attentive. I would definitely come back here again. Plus, there’s a bike rack located at the back of the restaurant for securing your bike.

Leaning Tower is an Ankeny stable. If you’re new to Ankeny or just visiting, I recommend stopping here for a pizza. I ordered the Pickle Wrap pizza and Harrington pizza as well as a basket of fries. The fries were on the table within 10 minutes of ordering and the pizzas were out 10-15 minutes after that. If your a pickle fan, I highly encourage you to get the Pickle Wrap pizza. Overall great service, fantastic food, and the waitress was very friendly.

We shared the Harrington specialty pizza which is our staple. It didn't disappoint. We started with Cheese Bread but it was lacking the usual amount of cheese. Our beer was cold but a little flat. Service was outstanding as always. Best pizza in Polk County hands down.
