Decent food. Horrible service as always unethical and indifferent. It’s almost as if the management intentionally keeps the least service oriented people they can find. The location is terrific and that’s the only reason to ever return.
There is ample place to sit and quiet airy. We had some amazing pizza and a few beers. We also had to do some work and they let us sit for a while, munch and enjoy our drinks while we work.
Cannot believe we paid a bill of 14K at this dive last night. I live in Goa, passed by many times but friends arrived from out of town read reviews and one was finally dragged to it. I have no issue with the place for what it is, chill scene, good for a beer in the afternoons, unmemorable but appropriately roadside bar variety food. The bill however, was not okay. First red flag we only serve Blue Riband, Gordons or Tanqueray. This kind of purposely gamey bar stocking really gets me. What a line up. Do I opt for the headache in a bottle, or pricey UK imports. Any Goan gin? Nope. Any Goan beer? Nope. Contrast this with a round of excellent food, **** marys and beers with the same group at La Plage the other day and we paid half that amount. And then if you are going to charge people such rates, do get your house in order. The bathrooms ARE absolutely disgusting. I think I finished a bottle of sanitizer spray. Not to mention the walk through filth and garbage to get to it and the casual group of men sitting next to the door of the ladies.
We have been visiting this place since 2010. During our trips to North Goa. It's a ritual to visit Mango Tree for a few drinks and back late at night for a quick drink and grub. The atmosphere is always laid-back and inviting, the drinks are affordable and the food is decent. It is a great place to meet people from all walks of life and the barmen are friendly and welcoming. We always sit at the bar and it's open until 4 AM with a late-night menu. All in all, I would definitely recommend Mango Tree to anyone looking for an affordable evening out in Vagator. We would rate this place a 3.5 out of 5 Overall.
