Brechin Golf Club - Angus

Great friendly club in lovely surroundings. Had a great day out with group of friends for annual golf outing. Very reasonably priced for a round of golf with buggy hire only an extra £12.00 Warm welcome from staff.

The view from the dining room was lovely and the staff were super friendly and welcoming, unfortunately, the food was not great. The lasagne tasted like a poor-quality frozen ready meal and the mac 'n ' cheese was not very nice. The chips were good, though. Unfortunately, for several days afterwards I had an upset stomach. Apparently, due to staff shortages, their menu was reduced and maybe they didn 't have the qualified staff who usually prepare the food. Maybe we were just unfortunate and did not sample their food at its best.

My friends and I ordered a large portion of chicken goujons and chips for lunch but we were Very disappointed as when it arrived there was a only handful of chips and 2 chicken goujons . I felt like I had been given a childs portion but charged full price . Disappointed

A lovely pro shop with a great welcome. We played in a mixed open and were paired with a super couple from Montrose. We hadn't played the course before but soon found it was just what we liked. Great condition and the greens were very good but tricky. Afterwards we had a small meal and drinks and the food was excellent. We would return.

Although the restaurant had been recommended we had a much better meal at the Northern Hotel. The folks at the golf club restaurant could take some cues from the staff at the hotel. Was also charged more for items which were listed on board for a lower price but did not realize until after we left. The food was nothing special.
