La Boucherie - Angers

We were eight of for dinner here. Not English speaking staff is standard in France. Hamburger rated 5/5, grande salade perigourdine 5/5, steak frites 5/5, grande salad de chèvre 2/5, rump steak 2/5, beer 2/5.

Popped in for lunch after reading the street menu. We presumed this was a "Cheap Eats" kind of place but was surprised by the quality of food on offer. The service was excellent & we were made to feel very welcome. On top of this, the bill was more than acceptable as it came to less than 45 euros for the two, three course meals including a litre of wine. Well worth the visit!

Chosen because it was near to our Hotel (Ibis Style) and we needed a quick meal after a long drive. So if thats what you need it fits the bill. Good range of American style steaks and burgers, etc, served by friendly staff.

I've been here quite a few times and doubtless will be back again. This steakhouse is a good solid standby. Probably rates a little bit more than the three stars I'm giving it, but I can't bring myself to give it four. The menu is unexceptional, but the steaks are good quality local meat. Service tends to be a bit haphazard. But I've never come away unhappy with a meal there. Good place to go with the family.

Very good selection of meat cuts with a varied selection of choice. Exceptional dessert menu especially the Profiteroles :)
