From ok but of course incredibly expensive. Service: Take out Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20
While the prices seem high to some, if you compare to the ridiculous amounts that you pay at Colorado ski resorts, this is a bargain! Great selection of beers, and the green chili **** Mary hits the spot. I would love to see more chairs in the sun. This was my first time visiting Angelfire, or any ski resort for that matter. And it was spring break on top of that. So I'm assuming not the best time to get a good first impression. Stopped in to the Village Haus during the lunch rush to take a break and grab some food. It was super busy, and had a hard time finding a table. Basically we moved in on a table as the last group was getting up. As we ate, we noticed that at least a half a dozen tables were groups of mom's camped out, holding the tables while their precious little urchins were out skiing. The prices at the Village Haus reflect that they certainly know they have a captured audience. The charge for a turkey wrap, frito pie and medium drink was $42. But, I guess it was better than leaving, and coming back, so..... Dietary restrictions: Not many restricted diet options available. This is more of an indoor concession stand, with a bar, than a restaurant.
Families bring grandma or both grandparents and have them sit at a table all day, or they alternate runs. Literally people hog the tables all day leaving someone behind with all their gear without buying anything to eat or drink, they just sit there reading on their kindle or watching Netflix. When you ask management if that's allowed, they say no and then proceed to not do anything about it. Meanwhile people are having to eat outside in the snow and cold just because selfish individuals want to hog up the tables even of they aren't using them.
