Everything was as fresh as possible, and the kitchen generously used quality ingredients like avocado and various meats. The tortas we tried were substantial and satisfying. The lengua was tender and delicious, while my partner particularly loved the chorizo. The sandwiches came with fries that, despite their somewhat unremarkable appearance, were hot and surprisingly crispy—much better than they looked. I was a bit disappointed that I only discovered afterwards that the restaurant serves pozole on Sundays. Santo Niño is located in a worn-down strip mall on the western edge of town, but don’t let that deter you. The interior may not be fancy, but it has a warm and inviting atmosphere.
