The place is a sort of tapas bar , located outdoors in the middle of the historical downtown, in a car free area. The atmosphere is fantastic. The food is mostly finger food based on fish and seafood (i.e oysters, moscioli or crugette , normally served along with some white wine or prosecco. The food is fresh and very simply prepared, but beware, products availability is subject to market and to how many guests have been satisfied before...
You might walk right by this place thinking that the lady behind the deli type counter as I did, then you do a double take and realise that visible through the glass cover are trays of wonderful seafood (razor clams, clams, scallops, tuna, bacalao)... Food is served in simple plastic plates and seating is only outside on basic tables and chairs, just amazing. I have razor clams, spicy snails, tuna and scallops in their shells with two glasses of Prosecco, Eur 17. If you come to Ancona don't miss Al Chiosco Da Morena.
Fresh fish and excellent quality. Tris made of choice between different specialties. Note of merit for tuna tartare and for gratinates, the best ever eaten. Good cellar with local labels and some excellence outside the region. Management and efficient service
The kiosk has reopened, with a new management, that has not changed the traditional recipes fresh oysters, good selection of wines Marche more a few bottle off region and a good champagne at a really interesting price
