It was clear that the restaurant was prioritizing takeout orders over their dine-in customers, which was really disappointing. Having worked in food service for nearly 10 years, I understand how hectic things can get, especially on Valentine's Day. I've never left such a harsh review for any establishment before! The fact that our waiter seemingly forgot to place our order for an hour while other tables that arrived much later were served and left before we even got our check— which also took forever—was outrageous. When our sushi finally arrived, it was amazing, but it definitely wasn't worth the long wait. It seems that if you want a good experience here, you might as well order through DoorDash rather than dining in, because in-house customers clearly do not matter to them at all. Safe to say, we will not be returning. This experience truly ruined our night—such a disappointment.
The food and service at this restaurant have been inconsistent. My last visit was good, but tonight's experience was disappointing. The service was very slow, I had soup spilled on me, the food was cold, and the wasabi and ginger for the sushi were not brought to our table (I had to ask for them twice). After finishing our meal, we waited an additional 25 minutes before having to go up and request the bill. I won’t be coming back again.
Saturday before closing ordered take out- Spicy Blossom, Dragon and Rainbow 1. My wife ate most of the blossom, a piece of dragon and a salmon sushi. I had two pieces of her blossom and the rest. Three hours later my wife was violently vomiting and has bad bowel movement. They were closed Sunday so couldn’t call to inform. My wife’s ailment lasted until Monday evening. I called and spoke to a lady informing her what has transpired. Her response- we get fresh fish Saturdays; the spicy blossom is a popular dish and no on got sick from it Saturday; perhaps don’t order that(spicy blossom) next time. I replied- perhaps I won’t order from there again. She said have a good day- to which I hung up. No apology! Yeah- a huge “perhaps” not ordering the spicy blossom and a bigger “perhaps” not ordering anything from them again.
Like many of my negative reviews, I had high hopes that ultimately led to disappointment. After working hard, I was really looking forward to splurging on lunch today. I ordered a variety of nigiri and a hijiki salad. When asked if I wanted soup and salad, I said yes. However, the plate she brought me contained items I didn’t order, and she didn’t include five items that I did order. To make matters worse, I was charged for the soup and salad that are typically offered as a courtesy at other places in town. In the end, I ended up spending four times what I usually can afford for lunch, didn’t receive some of the items I wanted, and found myself eating food I didn't want just to avoid waste. I haven't been to this place in several years, and I’m relieved to have satisfied my curiosity about returning. If you have a good rapport with the staff, are willing to accept whatever they serve you regardless of your order, or have a more flexible lunch budget, you might not be disappointed.
Good food but terrible service! Felt ignored at the sushi bar during my entire stay . Took about 10 minutes to get noticed as a customer, another 10 or more to get the beer I ordered. Would have had one more but lost the urge after another 15 minute wait for attention. Do they know they’re leaving money on the table by ignoring patrons? Glad I had something to read.
