Peking Wok - Anchorage

First issue was time. Was told 25 minutes to pick up when we arrived the food wasn't ready. Then after asking apparently the food hadn't even been started. When paying they tried to charge an extra 20 dollars not sure why. So another 30 minutes later we got the food. Second issue the food. We ordered 2 house low mein and there was about a piece of each meat in total so it was mostly noodle and a barely flavored sauce. At nearly 17 dollars a piece the quantity didn't even cover the lack of quality. We also ordered the happy family and the same can be said for proteins as before. The only thing that was worth it was the egg rolls. No compensation could be asked since the front lady gave us the food and immediately went back to the kitchen. No apologies no offering to make up for the service. Really just wish Kenny's Kitchen was closer. So far that's the best Chinese food I've found in Anchorage.

Ordered pork fried rice with our dinners. This is what we received. Call me crazy but I kinda expected the rice to include veggies and (of course) pork. The lady at the restaurant insisted this is their pork fried rice. The breaded almond chicken was chewy. Not impressed. Won’t be returning.

Do to heavy rain, we did not want to venture from our hotel to go to dinner. So we ordered take out from Peking Wok.They were very accommodating and friendly. Our dinner arrived hot and delicious! The portions were just right so nothing was left to waste. Not only delicious but the price was right.Thank you, Peking Wok, and see you again next time we are in Anchorge!

I took my sons to Peking Wok and the cuisine was quite phenomenal. The freshest black mushrooms with pork and the shrimp curry was to die for. All the authentic cuisine was full of TLC, and the staff was so very kind and my kids loved the waitress. We had the best dinner EVER. On the way home, my they asked when we we will be going back, and I said, “As soon as possible.”

No frills Chinese place with all the classics you know and love just as they should be. Good portions, fast service and fair prices.
