This was a perfect spot to have a substantial meal knowing we had a long night/morning ahead with travel. Good atmosphere and was easy to get in and out with carryon luggage.
Never got to try the food. There was a single waiter who was also trying to seat people and be the bar tender all at once. There were several parties seated after us who ordered, ate, paid their bill, and left before we even got our sodas. The waiter just kept saying he'd be right with us or you're next and the likes. After waiting and realizing the two tables who were seated next to us had eaten and left, we started to pay attention to the time. We realized we were approaching the hour plus mark of being there. The waiter must have caught us looking around as he finally stopped at our table told us something about there must have been an order ticket malfunction or it was buried/lost in the kitchen. Before he even left, he tried to recall our order that was not correct at all. Then he said it was almost done while he had a rush on the order, all while never leaving our table. We acknowledged that we realized he was overwhelmed being the only one working, but we were disappointed and we left.Parking: It is in the airport on the other side of TSA security, so if you have an airplane, parking is easy peasy.
My husband and I stopped here for a bite to eat while in Anchorage. It was clear before we sat down that there was too little staff for the number of diners. I had the salmon dinner, which came with mashed potatoes and carrots. It was okay, but it was not worth the price I paid. My husband had a cup of clam chowder, which he enjoyed. Service was slow. She never checked on us during the meal or offered dessert.
It's VERY rare I sit down at a restaurant in an airport, but I had 6+ hours to kill and wanted a real breakfast, so why not? I recommend you get your coffee elsewhere in the airport. I had the seafood omelet: they didn't skimp on protein; plenty of crab and it had pretty good flavors too. Overall, I was happy with it. The potatoes were kind of boring and a little undercooked. Service was fast at first, but after the food came, the server was a ghost. This place is not bad by airport standards.
Came in for breakfast. The food was surprisingly very good for an airport restaurant. Either the lady working needs to find a new job or whoever is writing the schedules needs to be replaced. She was working along (tbh, based on what I saw, it’s doable as one) but she kept turning away people saying she had to clean. Then she just chilled by the computer doing nothing. This went one for 20-30 minutes. I think she just wanted to look busy so the next person coming in would do it. I’m sure airport rent isn’t cheap. She easily turned away about 8 potential tables. Seems to be a common thing in the thread… one more employee to sit more people and make more money. Easy. Adds accountability too.
