Manhattan Lounge - Anchorage

After being seated, a woman who wasn't our server brought us water, but one of the glasses had a bug in it when she placed it on our table. I told our server, Kim, about it, but she responded passive-aggressively, saying, "Well, you're sitting outside, so things like this happen," without offering any apology. From there, her service only got worse; she seemed to deliberately avoid our table while checking in on others. I've heard similar complaints from other diners about Kim's rude demeanor. On the bright side, the food was good, apart from the negative experience with Kim.

I believe it’s a great spot for lunch. The staff was friendly and attentive during my visit. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, which was a bit messy and quite greasy, but still delicious. The fries that came with it were enjoyable as well, though I would appreciate more options for those with gluten or dairy restrictions. For vegetarians, the choices are primarily salads. As for kid-friendliness, this may not be the best place for families, as there are no kids' menus and the focus seems to lean heavily on alcohol. Parking is convenient, and there is a wheelchair ramp outside leading to the entrance. Unfortunately, there are not many options available for vegan, gluten-free, or dairy-free diets.

What a lovely little gem in Southside! I can't believe I didn't find it sooner. The sun was shining and temperatures were over 70 degrees, making it the perfect day to dine outdoors, so we decided to stop by Manhattan. The ambiance is beautiful and well-maintained, with plenty of tables shaded by umbrellas for guests. We kicked things off with a shrimp cocktail and a blueberry drop cocktail, which was hands down one of the best drinks I've ever had. If I hadn't been driving, I would have ordered several more! The food was fantastic as well, featuring large, well-seasoned shrimp. The beef tacos were incredibly flavorful—definitely spicier than I'm used to, but they were so delicious that I couldn't stop eating them. We absolutely plan to return many more times!

Was hoping to find a local place to go and enjoy good food. I understand it's a lounge and restaurant but a little too cramped and crowded for me. The manager asked if we had been taken care of yet, and I told him yes. But he never bothered coming back again to check how everything was, even with me trying to get his attention.Ordered Halibut Fish and Chips, I also realize this is Alaska, and prices are higher. But I was very disappointed in portion size, Halibut was delicious, but not enough for the price.The fries would have been the equivalent of a medium Mc Dee's fries again for the price absolutely not enough.Then I watched a table next to me get the same plate I ordered, and it sure seemed to me the portions sizes if Fish and Fries were a whole lot more than what was served to me.Unfortunately, I am unable to recommend.

Today I had went in to grab dinner with my boyfriend, when I first walked in I asked the lady working/ serving outside if it was open seating outside as well, and with a snarky attitude she goes “yeah when the tables get clean” I brushed it off, but then she was our sever and she was just rude and talked to us like we were stupid, I didn’t see her being rude or snarky with anyone else but us. as someone who works in customer service I understand if ur having a bad day, but don’t be rude to others
