Gumbo House - Anchorage

Excellent portion of Angel Hair pasta with all of the favorites, shrimp, sausage, chicken and French bread. Magnificent!

Stopped here on a Tuesday night. They were not that busy by around 9 PM. They had tons of Cajun options. Tried the fried okra, jambalaya and the etoffee' and washed it down with some beer. The service was very quick and friendly. The best part is that they have small cup portion sizes so you can try different stuff. Too bad their kitchen was closed by the time i wanted to order dessert. Good dinner and service and good value for money

Must try place one of the best Gumbo and Pho Boy in Anchorage. Service are good, food super duper yummy lot of menu selection too

We had the BBQ Ribs with rice beans, a shrimp Po'Boy and the Jambalaya. Everything was delicious and the owners and people who work there are very kind and helpful. Beer was also good and don't forget to try their corn muffins and bred pudding. I recommend this place a lot, plus their new location at 6th is great.

The roux was so burnt it wasn 't edible, just yuk is all I have to say. If they are going to name their place The Gumbo House then they should learn how to make delicious gumbo,,, they need a new cook for sure! Last time I 'll ever eat there.
