Great Alaska Pizza Company - Anchorage

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE. I placed an order through their website and received a confirmation email stating that my order would arrive in about 30 minutes. My credit card was charged, but an hour later, I still hadn't received my pizza. I called to inquire and was informed that they never received my order because their fax machine was down that day. If they knew they couldn't process online orders, why is that option still available? They made no effort to notify customers about this issue. I will never order online or visit this location again.

I want to be a fan of a place that values customer appreciation and offers a $5 pizza. While I appreciated the lack of wait time and that the pizza was served hot, it felt like it could have used some sauce! It was essentially just cheese and pepperoni on a crust.

It's like the McDonald's of pizza: cheap and not very appealing, with a flavor that's largely reminiscent of cardboard—though cardboard might actually taste better.

Additionally, I had requested two medium stuffed crust pizzas, which should have come with a $6 upcharge for the stuffed crust, as indicated on their menu (which states $3 for medium and $3.50 for large). However, I was charged $7. When I inquired about it, the cashier insisted it was $3.50 each, but I pointed out the sign that clearly stated $3. Despite my efforts, he maintained his stance. I can only give this place 2 stars because the pizza itself met my expectations for affordable stuffed crust, otherwise it would have received a 1 star for the very poor service.

I’m really disappointed with this restaurant, even though I usually enjoy their pizza. I called in to place an order and was told it would take about 30 minutes. I had a few errands to run, so I arrived after about 40 minutes, only to find that my order hadn’t been prepared at all. The young lady at the counter confirmed this, and I couldn’t believe it—my order just wasn’t made! This is completely unacceptable, and I’m not likely to return.
